Ahok Instructs Head of Spatial Planning Sub. to Dismiss Unruly Employees

Jakarta Vice Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama instructs Head of Jakarta Spatial Planning Department, Gamal Sinurat to eradicate unruly employees and officials in his sub-department. Sinurat was ordered because Spatial Planning Department is very prone to corruption. If it is proven, the offenders will be dismissed as was done to officials serving under Jakarta Housing and Government Buildings Department with the same case. 

"That's why I instruct Mr. Gamal to immediately dismiss unruly officials in his sub-department. If he ignores it, I will dismiss him," asserted Basuki at City Hall, Wednesday (8/13).

Cheating, 350 Civil Servants Threatened to Be Demoted

The man who popularly called as Ahok acknowledged that many employees equal to head section under Spatial Planning Department are problematic. They traded form when residents wanted to process building permits at the one-door integrated service (PTSP).

"I received a short message that saying Head of Spatial Planning Section has traded permit forms to residents," he added.

He furthered the modus is like by prolonging permit process proposed by residents. "The officials are easily cheating people. If they find an error in the form, they begin to cheat it, like on line mark. It can already make people desperate," he exclaimed.

He admitted he has known this matter and plans to demote them as staff. "I know who they are and I would demote them as staff," he asserted.
